This block is Rare OLD stock lilac/lavender jadeite jade from Guatemala. Beautiful light purples, and pinks in a mix of sugary and icey white jadeite. To my knowledge most of this beautiful jade has been mined out of the ground, and the only peices circulating are from old collections, so the amount out there is steadily dwindling.
The translucency varries through out the material, though it is extremely carvable and almost entirely devoid of fractures. It is not a polished piece, but I did put a clear gloss coat on it to be a display piece on my shelf and i didn't have the equipment at the time to had polish it. Beyond that, the stone is 100% natural and un treated.
