This chunk of jadeite from Guatemala is an extremely rare variety known as moss and snow that before this find was only known to be found in Burma. A limited amount of this material was mined out and distrubuted to western carvers, while the majority was sold to big chinese jade carving companies.
I was lucky enough to be among those to get some of this material while it was available.
A fairly translucent white jadeite base, with speckles and streaks of vibrant imperial and and apple green throughly.
